Learn prediction markets

Everything you need to read a market, place your first trade, and understand how settlement works.

Prices are probabilities

A share pays $1 if the outcome happens and $0 if it doesn't. So a share trading at 63¢ means the market thinks there's roughly a 63% chance of that outcome.

Placing a trade

  • Pick a market and an outcome (Yes or No, or one of several candidates)
  • Choose an amount — your maximum loss is what you spend
  • Sell any time before resolution, or hold to settlement

How markets resolve

Each market page lists its resolution criteria and sources before trading opens. When the event concludes, winning shares settle at $1 and losing shares at $0.

Managing risk

  • Only trade what you can afford to lose
  • Watch liquidity — thin books mean wider spreads
  • Read the resolution rules before you enter
